Elderberry Hemp Honey Poached Pears

Everyone loves a pear, but did you know the best way really enjoy and appreciate this complex flavors of this fruit is by poaching it? This recipe also brings in the unique antioxidant flavors of Black Elderberry for a sweet-and-tart flavor like nothing else you've tasted!
Elderberry Hemp Honey Poached Pears
3 cups water, or enough to cover pears
1 cinnamon stick
3 cardamom pods
2 tablespoons Elderberry Support Colorado Hemp Honey
One 3/4-inch piece fresh ginger, peeled and finely chopped.
1 vanilla bean, split lengthwise
2 small, firm, ripe pears, peeled
Heat water, honey, vanilla, ginger, cinnamon, and cardamom in a saucepan large enough to hold the pears. Once the honey has melted, add the pears. Simmer for 15 to 20 minutes, turning the pears to make sure all parts of the pears poach. Pears should be tender, but not mushy. Remove pears from poaching liquid.
Continue cooking poaching liquid another 20 minutes until it thickens and reduces by half.
Serve pears with yogurt, vanilla ice cream, or whipping cream. Pour poaching liquid over pears.
