Colorado Hemp Honey's Lean and Green Initiative
Apr 19, 2022
Here at Colorado Hemp Honey, we employ a number of different practices to ensure that we minimize our impact on the soil, the water and the air. Our fields and beehives depend on a healthy, vibrant and diverse eco-system and even the smallest actions can have big impacts in the future. This commitment extends to our packing and shipping department as well and over the years we have worked to implement a "Lean and Green" protocal that allows our honey to be packed responsibly and with care and helps it arrive at your doorstep and on your local stores shelves as fresh as the day it was jarred.
Frangiosa Farms single largest product is currograted cardboard boxes.According to The Fibre Box Association when corrugated box fibers are recyled, they are used at least 7-10 times to make new boxes and other paper products. Corrugated boxes are by far the most recycled packaging material on the planet with a 92% recycling rate in 2019. Some of our many "Lean and Green" environmental initiatives around our use of carboard boxes include using ONLY the following in all of our shipping:
- 100% Recyclable Brown Kraft Paper.
- Biodegradable Packaging Peanuts
- 100% Recyclable Cardboard boxes.
- 100% Recyclable Paper Pad-Kraft Mailer.
- Industrially Compostable Cello Carton Sealing Tape
- Hemp inks (when available)
So bee sure to take a moment when your package arrives to complete the cycle and recycle these products to ensure that we all can benefit from less waste and a cleaners planet for all.
