Turmeric and Black Pepper Hemp Honey Chia Pudding

This breakfast bowl brings some of the healthiest foods together in one place. Chia seeds are rich in omega-3 fatty acids, fiber, and calcium. Turmeric acts as a powerful anti-inflammatory and is good for the immune system while black pepper contributes antioxidants. Preparing a batch of chia pudding in advance makes an easy breakfast that is convenient to customize.
Ingredients
- 2 cups coconut milk (or any milk)
- 1 tablespoon turmeric and black pepper hemp honey
- 4 tablespoons chia seeds
Suggested Toppings
- Nuts
- Maca powder for a sweet and earthy flavor
- Fresh fruit (strawberries and banana are good!)
- Cacao nibs
- Dehydrated coconut
- Sesame seeds
Instructions
- In a saucepan, heat milk and honey whisking to incorporate.
- Let simmer for 2 minutes, then pour into a bowl with chia seeds.
- Refrigerate overnight. This can be prepared in jars for an on-the-go breakfast.
- Add fresh fruit, seeds, and nuts before serving.
