Crostini with Honey Whipped Goat Cheese and Pecans

Looking for a quick and delicious holiday treat  for your party or family gathering?  Why not try this crispy, sweet and savory appetizer?

 

 

  

 

 

Honeyed Pecans

1 cup chopped pecans

3 tbsp Frangiosa Farms Artisan Raw Honey

pinch of salt

 

Preheat oven to 350 degrees. Combine pecans, honey, and salt in a bowl. Stir to coat, and spread evenly onto a parchment-lined baking sheet. Bake until toasted about 15 minutes. Let cool and break apart into bite-sized pieces.

 

Honey-Whipped Goat Cheese

 4 oz goat cheese, room temperature

3 tbsp Frangiosa Farms Artisan Raw Honey

Combine goat cheese and cream in bowl of electric mixer outfitted with the whisk attachment; process until well blended. Add honey and process until combined.

 

For the crostini, cut baguette on the bias into 1/4" slices. Spread goat cheese mixture onto baguette slices. Top with candied pecans and finish with a coarse grain salt, like Maldon.
